Joining the team in 2012, Melissa has run legislative and regulatory campaigns for clients in markets from New York to California in issue areas ranging from real estate to agriculture, transportation to education, finance to licensing, land use to employment.
She is responsible for designing and managing the execution of various campaign elements including creating new and/or shaping existing brands, developing a comprehensive communications and messaging strategy, designing a cohesive digital presence, and building grassroots engagement through community outreach.
Melissa has managed several winning campaigns for Tusk Ventures portfolio companies and Tusk Strategies clients. Perhaps most notably, she played an integral role in the 2016 Uber campaign to stop New York City officials from capping the company’s growth, as well as the effort to secure pedestrian plazas in Times Square.
Melissa received her B.A. in Political Science from Auburn University. She grew up in the Washington, DC area and currently resides in the Fort Greene neighborhood of Brooklyn. In her free time she enjoys reading and cooking.
