Henry L. Greenidge is a dynamic attorney and government affairs professional with over ten years of experience in policy advising, regulatory affairs, community engagement, and legal advocacy. His areas of expertise include sustainability, energy, broadband, and autonomous transportation. Henry was formerly the Head of Public Affairs for REEF Technology and the Regional state and local government affairs lead for Cruise, a General Motors subsidiary focused on autonomous vehicles.
Henry has held legal, policy, budget, and government affairs roles in Washington, DC during the Obama Administration at the Federal Communications Commission, the U.S. Department of Transportation, and the White House Office of Management & Budget. He has also served in senior positions at the New York City Department of Transportation and the New York City Mayor’s Office.
Henry strongly believes in the importance of investing in your community and has been active in several organizations including the New York Urban League, and the Metropolitan Black Bar Association. His board service includes the Association for a Better New York Young Professionals (ABNY), Brooklyn Community Board 9, the Tri-State Transportation Campaign, Tech 2025, the Apollo Theater Young Professionals, and the Emma L. Bowen Foundation, which provides undergraduate students of color with internships at top media and technology companies.
In addition to the many awards and commendations received during his time with the Obama Administration, Henry’s work has been recognized by several local organizations— including New York University as an Emerging Leader in Transportation, City & State Magazine as a 40 Under 40 Rising Star, and the New York Urban League as a Trailblazer. Henry has also completed the Coro Leadership New York Fellowship program and was a Fellow with the Council of Urban Professionals. He currently serves as a Fellow-in-Residence with the New York University McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research where he lectures and explores the connection between race, poverty, and transportation.
Henry holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore and a Bachelor of Arts from the Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communications at Hampton University where he graduated with honors. During his free time, Henry can be found chasing his three young children around and doting on his beautiful wife, Linara. He also enjoys golf, cycling and collecting rare vinyl records.
