Michaela manages Tusk’s overall brand strategy and advises clients on their communications and marketing strategies. Michaela joined Tusk Strategies from Nestlé, where she managed corporate and crisis communications in the U.S. She was responsible for overseeing and growing the company’s digital strategy and worked directly with the Public Affairs team to build strategic partnerships and expand the company’s Creating Shared Value work. She previously led strategic communications at The ONE Campaign, Bono’s anti-poverty advocacy organization. Her work at ONE took her around the world, campaigning in Africa, Europe and North America. She began her career at Burson-Marsteller in Washington, D.C. She also sits on the Community Advisory Board of WNYC and is an Innovation Council member at Eleanor’s Legacy, which recruits, trains and funds progressive female candidates across New York State.
A native of Alexandria, Virginia, Michaela is based in New York City and is a graduate of Colgate University, where she double-majored in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies.
