Jake leads high-profile media and policy campaigns for major companies, startups, trade associations, nonprofits and advocacy organizations.

With fifteen years of experience in government and politics, Jake focuses on developing strategies for – and executing – public affairs campaigns to influence policymakers, build coalitions and shape public opinion, securing wins for Tusk clients across a wide range of industries. Jake also advises clients on corporate and crisis communications, in addition to creating new narratives and messaging around complex issues.

In recent years he has ghostwritten and placed editorials and commentary for prominent elected officials, business leaders, advocates and celebrities that have been published in the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, New York Post, TechCrunch, Business Insider, Fast Company, USA Today and more.

In 2021, Jake served as Press Secretary to Andrew Yang during the NYC Mayoral race. Before joining the Tusk Team, Jake served as Communications & Policy Director for NYC Councilman Mark Levine, where he worked on transportation, housing, healthcare and urban policy issues. Prior to his work in City Hall, Jake worked in the NYS Assembly and the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs & Worker Protection.

Jake received his B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Fordham University’s College at Rose Hill. He currently lives in Peter Cooper Village with his wife and son.
