Matt Munsil is a Senior Vice President who manages public affairs efforts for clients across a variety of industries, and is a part of Tusk’s nationally-recognized Crypto + FinTech Practice. He specializes in developing and executing comprehensive paid media and grassroots campaigns that generate positive legislative, regulatory, and press outcomes for clients.

During the 2021 NYC mayoral election, Matt ran political and communications operations on the Yang for New York campaign and served as Chief of Staff to the Campaign Managers. Prior to Tusk, Matt worked for multiple years at technology policy think tanks and startups. As a Google Policy Fellow, he developed programming for the Congressional Internet Caucus, including widely-attended bipartisan policy briefings on Capitol Hill and hosted a nationally televised forum on internet sales tax. He was a lead organizer for the largest annual internet policy conference in the country, State of the Net, and served as a liaison between the conference and high-level speakers. He also worked at the Lincoln Network, where he helped launch a technology consulting initiative for the public sector that provides IT consulting at low rates to civic organizations and government agencies.

Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Matt graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University with a B.A. in History and a minor in American Studies.
