Ross Green is a Senior Vice President at Tusk Strategies. He brings nearly a decade of experience in public policy, advocacy, and media to the New York office.

Ross joined Tusk from San Francisco City Hall, where he served as Communications Director and Legislative Aide to Supervisor Rafael Mandelman. In this role, Ross designed and delivered successful legislation across land use, transportation, tax, good governance, and public safety. Wins include eliminating single-family zoning to legalize apartments citywide and rewriting the City’s contracting code to save San Francisco taxpayers $700M/year. He also helped raise the Supervisor’s public profile on the way to his re-election and secured earned media in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Axios, CNN, and Los Angeles Times.

Before City Hall, Ross was a Director at the public strategy firm Kearns & West. There, he advised clients in the technology and transportation sectors on how to navigate California’s aggressive regulatory regimes. In 2018, he partnered with SCN Strategies (now Bearstar Strategies) as campaign manager for Anna Pletcher for Marin County District Attorney. Over the years, Ross has lent his policy and political communications expertise to dozens of candidates and causes throughout California and his home state of Alabama.

Ross graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. from the University of Alabama. He is a Coro Fellow, a Blackburn Institute Fellow, and a Blount Initiative alumnus. Ross lives in Brooklyn with his wife and their dog, Gus.
