Alex leads policy and communications campaigns for major corporations, startups, and organizations across a range of industries, such as tech, financial services, and real estate. Notable recent work has included passing groundbreaking legislation regulating the use of AI in hiring to developing multi-state public affairs action plans on major policy issues.
Previously, Alex led policy development and rapid response for US Senator Robert Menendez’s winning 2018 reelection campaign. Alex was also Senior Associate at Mercury, where, among his several client engagements, he helped coordinate coalitions and press for a winning $1 billion statewide higher education bond referendum in New Jersey as well as for a bipartisan advocacy group pursuing federal immigration reform.
In addition, while at Tusk, Alex served as Senior Communications Advisor and speechwriter for the Yang for NY mayoral campaign, where one publication recognized his work by noting the campaign had a “very good speechwriter.” His press efforts also led to positive earned media in The NY Times, Washington Post, CNN, The Athletic, among many other outlets.
Beyond his client work, Alex maintains a broad operational portfolio at Tusk. He plays a leading role in both business development and growing Tusk’s brand through managing the recent buildout of a new website, logo and corporate narrative. Further, he helps manage state and federal lobbying legal compliance.
Beyond his responsibilities at Tusk, Alex has also worked with other political candidates and organizations. One opinion piece he helped draft for a winning candidate was the most read op-ed in 2020 on a NYC political news site. He also held voter protection roles for Democratic National Committee in 2020 and Hillary for America’s presidential campaign in 2016.
Alex received his J.D. cum laude from Fordham Law School, and his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. Alex lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Megan, and their daughter.
