After managing Michael Bloomberg’s successful mayoral reelection campaign, Bradley founded Tusk Strategies in 2010.

New York City and State campaigns remain the cornerstone of our work. Over the 16 years, we’ve taken on and won some of the toughest fights in New York politics, from securing Uber’s entry to the NYC market to passing first-of-its-kind AI legislation in the NYC council and winning two major expansions of the Empire State Film & TV Tax Credit despite significant opposition.

Our team is led by seasoned operatives with deep roots in New York politics and policy. Shontell Smith, head of the New York Practice, served as Chief of Staff and Counsel for the New York State Senate Majority Conference and brings unmatched insight into the inner workings of the Legislature and Executive Chamber. Our New York leadership includes Chris Coffey, Tusk’s CEO, whose two decades of work in City Hall, on major campaigns, and in crisis communications make him one of the most sought-after public affairs strategists in the state.
