Alex manages public affairs campaigns for Tusk with a focus on policy and communications strategy, particularly in New York and New Jersey. Most recently, he served as Senior Policy Adviser for U.S. Senator Robert Menendez’s successful reelection campaign. In that role, Alex led the formulation of policy briefing materials for the Senator and key surrogates. The work also extended to drafting op-eds and press statements, conducting opposition research, and leading rapid response during the televised debate.
Alex’s campaign experience extends to his time as a Senior Associate at Mercury. Among his several client engagements, he helped coordinate coalitions and press strategy for clients pursuing federal immigration reform legislation and a $1 billion statewide higher education bond referendum. He also worked on the Hillary for America campaign, focusing on voting rights and vetting. Previously, Alex was an Associate at Wollmuth, Maher & Deutsch, a boutique litigation law firm in Manhattan. He worked on securities and antitrust cases.
Alex received his J.D. cum laude from Fordham Law School, and his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. Alex lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Megan. He is based out of our New York office.
